A new technique - Citation Mapping for really important articles

You can now search and download citations going forward on SCOPUS and the ISI Web of Knowledge.

ISI Web of Knowledge also allows you to look at the information visually.

This allows you to examine the impact of key references and see how knowledge develops (e.g. which authors, which countries use the article etc).

I would recommend using this new technique only for high level searching on key references.

This blog could also be called "How to find and talk about the evidence with medical and health experts."

It is a collection of really useful ideas and techniques for searching the scientific and practice literature. I use these tools in my work as a health services researcher and PhD student.

This blog gives me the opportunity to share my "learnings" with the wider research community (aka knowledge transfer) and to keep this valuable information in the one location online.
